Honolulu is a city. Oahu is that it resides on the island. You can walk across the next half an hour in Honolulu. Walk about 45 minutes to an hour from Waikiki, Honolulu. About 30 minutes, you can fly, Oahu, Hawaii Island (Big Island). And the other respondents mentioned that you can drive from Honolulu to the North Shore from Honolulu, and in about an hour, Turtle Bay, in about an hour, depending on traffic half.

In the other hand, you could take an Ontario Northland train or bus to Toronto, followed by a Megabus to Montreal. If you book well in advance you could get a really cheap Megabus fare and save a bit of money, but for the extra time it would take it probably wouldn’t be worth it.

You might want to consider going the Rouyn-Noranda route. I imagine there must be daily bus service from and to North Bay and there are two or three buses from there to Montreal. Also, Air Canada flies from Rouyn to Montreal.

Your question, I do not have any specific answers but I think there are some travel agencies to organize group holidays to do a group of 20 people (all strangers), where they travel, so my suggestion is to look at these organizations, group travel transport and hope you have a good holiday
